Reporting an incident of violence or discrimination

If you are a victim or witness of violence or discrimination, this process allows you to submit the necessary information to help understand the situation. The process doesn’t require any authentication. The situation will be analyzed by the University’s Equality and Diversity Unit.

An appointment with the counseling and support team can be offered to you before or after you file your report.

What happens after the report?

• The counseling and support team will confirm receiving your report within 48 hours.
• Depending on your availability, an appointment with the counseling and support team will be offered to you within 5 working days of your report.
• An initial assessment of you report will allow the University to determine how it can be handled.
• Depending on the case, support can be provided to the victim; the counseling and support team can intervene with all parties; or an administrative investigation can be initiated to clarify the circumstances of the reported situation. If disciplinary proceedings are initiated, the members of the disciplinary committee will be informed of the victim’s identity.

• Collect reports submitted by victims or witnesses of potential violence or discrimination situations.
